About Working With Us
CoreX handles MEP engineering design across a wide range of project types — including commercial offices, healthcare facilities, multi-family residential, hospitality, industrial, educational, and government buildings. We work on new construction, renovations, tenant improvements, and infrastructure upgrades across a wide range of project sizes.
CoreX Engineers provides MEP design support nationwide across the United States. Our team is experienced with jurisdiction-specific codes and local AHJ requirements, and our deliverables are prepared for review and sealing by the licensed engineer of record for your project’s state.
Our projects follow a phase-gated process: Pre-Design (plan review, scope alignment, question clarification), Design (engineering calculations, BIM/CAD modeling, QA/QC), and Post-Design (permit-submission support, plan-check response preparation, RFI support). We agree on milestones for each scope; full-design engagements may use 30%, 60%, and 90% design reviews so you know where your project stands.
For an agreed full-design scope, you will receive an MEP package including engineering drawings, calculations, equipment schedules, specifications, energy compliance documentation, BIM/CAD coordination models, and permit submission documents, as specified in our agreement. Your licensed engineer of record must exercise responsible charge throughout design and review, seal and issue the final documents. Post-design, we also support your engineer of record remotely with RFI responses and shop drawing reviews during construction.
Our rigorous pre-design process and thorough QA/QC reviews help reduce avoidable plan-check comments. When corrections are required, we prepare the plan-check responses and resubmission sets for your engineer of record to issue, supporting the agreed project schedule. Corrections arising from our own work are included in every round; changes from revised architectural backgrounds are priced separately.
We use industry-standard tools including Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE 3D Plus, Elite Software (RHVAC), ETAP, SKM PTW, AGi32, Visual Lighting, Bluebeam Revu, and Navisworks — supporting BIM coordination and compatibility with your agreed workflow.
